2019 - The year of colour!

"With colourful jewel tones and bold brights both being hot trends this year, there’s never been a more appropriate occasion for injecting a bit of colour into your interior design."

There’s no better time to reinvent yourself and your living space than the new year.  With colourful jewel tones and bold brights both being hot trends this year, [Hot Interior Trends for 2019] there’s never been a more appropriate occasion for injecting a bit of colour into your interior design.  A few extra accessories or a stand-alone piece can really transform an existing, neutral room from drab to fab so we’ve rounded up our favourite loud and proud pieces that’ll brighten up even the dullest of days.

Baychester Grand Sofa

There’s no chance of missing this beauty of a sofa!  A gorgeous design already with its button back, deep comfy seat cushions and turned wooden feet, it’s the fabulous ‘Velvet Viola’ colour that really makes the Baychester Grand Sofa stand out.  Add it to an existing scheme to brighten the place up or use it as a starting point to dictate the rest of the décor – it’s the definition of a statement piece!  And if the purple doesn’t do anything for you then don’t despair, it also comes in a zesty orange, yellow and bright fuchsia too.

Crucial Trading Wool Mississipi Runner in Black & Copper colourway

Bespoke Stair Runner

Take inspo from one of our favourite style bloggers, Megan Ellaby [Influencer Inspo: Megan Ellaby], and opt for some colourful stripes on your stairs! They make for a really striking statement in your hallway and our lovely flooring department will expertly find you the right runner for your flooring needs before our fully trained, in-house fitters install it for you. Choose from our wide range of bold stripes, stunning colours and muted classics to ensure you get the right look for your house.

Arlo Chevron Orange Rug

If you’re not quite ready to commit to a more expensive flooring solution, then test the water with a colourful accent in the form of a rug! With both bright colours and geometric patterns being big trends for interiors this year, we’ve got you covered with our Arlo Rug range.  Available in a variety of shapes and patterns, we love the Chevron Orange rug for its gorgeous colour and soft weave. It’ll jazz up the most miserable of floors and really draw the eye when you walk in a room.

Yellow Robot Table Lamp

Let our little yellow friend bring a bit of sunshine – and light – to your home! Our Yellow Robot Table Lamp is a bit of fun and is a quirky alternative to the traditional lampshade. Made out of porcelain, he’s as much an ornament as he is a lamp and he even comes in blue and white too. As seen in Your Home magazine!

Vintage 4 Drawers 4 Door Buffet

If you want to be a little subtler with your introduction of colours then perhaps a few streaks of old paint on our Vintage 4 Drawers 4 Door Buffet will float your boat! Made out of recycled marine wood, the beautiful but unusual design is sure to be a talking point and the paint remnants bring a splash of colour and a hint of the ocean to the room. Hideaway the clutter with its spacious cupboards and tidy drawers.

Multi Square Cushion

Why choose one accent colour when you can have them all!?  Welcome the whole spectrum of the rainbow into your home with our Multi Square Cushion. The white background keeps it looking fresh and modern and there’s one thing for sure – it’ll go with everything! Throw them on an equally bright sofa to really take it to the next level or place one on a light grey armchair to brighten it up.

Flamingo Framed Picture

If there’s one thing that brings a touch of colour it’s a piece of art and our Flamingo Framed Picture stands out like, well, a flamingo in a flock of pigeons! With a clean white background and frame, the various shades of pink and chaotic paint splatters will bring a contemporary vibe to any wall.

Coloured Bulldog

Always a conversation starter in our showroom, our Coloured Bulldog, may be an acquired taste but it's definitely a conversation starter! Covered with bright, colourful squares and wearing a snazzy gold collar, this cute little fellow certainly isn’t short of personality. Position him in the hall by the front door to welcome guests and he’ll be sure to be the first thing they notice when they arrive!
