If your answer is yes, then you’re in the right place - we’ve got all the details from the paint to the furniture.
We were spoilt for choice when choosing our theme for Spring ’17. Especially with the eclectic trends appearing throughout the interior and fashion world. The various playful ways in which colour has been used this season stood out to us and got our creative cogs turning!
A trend we fell head over heels for is mixed metals, a style that is undeniably popular right now! Another of our favourites is the colour clashing craze, which works perfectly for Spring. When we combined the two trends, our look, Luxe Revival was born.
With the Pantone colour of the year being the vibrant Greenery, we had to choose a green paint worthy of honouring it, yet still in keeping with our overall theme for Luxe Revival. That’s why our friends over at Little Greene introduced us to Aquamarine Deep, a shade of green that was exactly what we were looking for! A soft shade that still boasts an underlying bold colour.
If Little Greene’s Aquamarine Deep isn’t your cup of tea why not head to your local DIY store and browse the golds, blues & greens they have to offer. Once our wall colour was chosen we moved onto what we do best, furniture – and if we do say so ourselves we chose a beauty! Our Rainbow corner modular sofa ticked all our boxes. Colourful? Tick. Comfortable? Tick. Contrasting fabrics? Tick. Luxury? Double tick! And to add that extra factor we chose it in its extra-large option. One word – wowser!
To ramp up the colour clashing, we added the Buttoned stool in Turmeric into the mix. This contrasted beautifully with the dark green velvet and Claude Monet styled upholstery of the separate modules.
Our next step was to dress the space, we introduced the mixed metals into the look with the addition of our Plush rug in Silver, and gold accessories. The use of metallics within the shot only highlight the Luxe element of the look further. As a finishing touch, we placed a fresh bouquet of spring flowers in a shade of our colour pallet.
So that’s it. To create our look, remember to be bold and brave when choosing your palette and don’t be afraid to contrast! Have fun!
