“Winter is upon us and with Christmas so close it’s time to add some warm and cosy touches to your home.

“You can create warmth easily by adding texture and rich colour. Also, layer your lighting and then choose pieces that reflect the light around the room.

“I love Arighi Bianchi, there really is something for everyone. I visited the store recently to seek out a few items that will add touches of warmth and cosiness to your home this winter.

“My chosen items fit one of my favourite interior styles, modern classic, that almost everyone can implement this season.

”This gorgeous dining table made from reclaimed scaffolding, topped with glass, adds texture. Teamed with a fabric-buttoned bench and chairs, it delivers a warm and sophisticated look.

“Add lustre and warmth to the setting with these beautiful pendant lights and this lovely piece of art.

Rich colours and layering textures will warm up your living area. Choose sofas and chairs in tactile fabrics for lounging on in the dark winter evenings. A plush velvet ottoman will cosy up the space. I love these snuggle sofas, just big enough for two but also perfect for one person to comfortably curl up on with a good book. Add some plump cushions and soft woollen throws to complete the look.

“Make sure you layer your lighting too by having a number of lamps throughout the room on console or side tables. I spotted gorgeous tables on my visit. This console table made with reclaimed driftwood and a glass top adds lustre and texture. The beautiful agate side table has touches of gold within the pattern, which adds interest and warmth. Candles then provide gentle ambient lighting and these lovely floor standing candle holders will light up the corners of your room with a warm ambient glow.

“Mirrors will help bounce light around the room and this mirror caught my eye with its mix of metallics. It’s not just a mirror but an interesting piece of wall art too.

“Finally, drinks cabinets and trollies are very much on trend at the moment, as are celestial shapes, and this Hammond drinks trolley is perfect for keeping a winter warming tipple close at hand.”
