Love is in the air this Valentines Day.

The perfect chair for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day usually involves a combination of flowers, chocolates and a bottle of fizz. Nothing wrong with that but it can feel a bit....tired don't you think? And of course none of it lasts.

A loveseat on the other hand - the chair of choice for all discerning lovers naturally - really is the gift that keeps on giving!

This relatively new piece of furniture is great for all sorts of reasons: it saves space, looks great and provides the perfect excuse for a cuddle!

There are some fantastic styles available at Arighi Bianchi, whether you're a classic or contemporary bird. Treat the person you love, or heck just yourself, to this great big bear of a chair.

Happy Valentines.

I'm a sucker for a bit of plush and this Clarendon loveseat couldn't come any plushier. With its gorgeous golden upholstery in the very finest velvet, and a range of matching scatters, what's not to love? Part of the new AB Collection 1854.

If you prefer something a little more formal, this Catarina snuggler should fit the bill. I love the elegant dip of the arms and the fabric, which would look perfect next to a duck egg blue sofa or a cream chaise.

Or for something a little more casual, the Mason loveseat has a wonderfully relaxed and country style feel, inviting you to snuggle up with a good book!

The Lawrence Love Seat has a meatier feel to it, with leather arms and big, feather filled cushions. Bigger than an armchair, but not quite a sofa, I love the fact you can share or steal it all for yourself! And when friends come round, there's extra room for little people to sit behind.

The Bowness loveseat has a more contemporary feel and can be mixed and matched with sofas and armchairs from the same range. There's a great choice of fabrics too, so you can play with pattern and block colours.

In contrast, the Salcombe snuggler is perfect if you're looking for something neat and tidy. Its simple, timeless design means it'll work with most interiors and if you go for a neutral fabric you can add lots of scatters and throws in contrasting colours - great if you want to update on a smaller budget.

One of my favourite loveseats, the Glorietta is definitely a candidate for Most Romantic: I mean just look at all that lush upholstery, and those swooning curves! The bandaged arms and castors give it a timeless appeal which means it'll last and last, like true love right?

And I couldn't not mention the Lily Chair, which for me was love at first sight. Not a Love Seat as such, but definitely a seat to fall in love with!

As cute as a button, they're each entirely unique, upholstered in remaining fabrics from the manufacturer. Everything about them says 'Happy.' Think of a colour, then choose your favourite, or better still visit our Macclesfield store, have a slap up lunch in the cafe and choose together. Whoever said romance was a thing of the past!
