We recommend that the service oil (our oil with the pigment in it) should be purchased at point of sale. We then recommend that this is used once a year to rejuvenate the table and maintain it. The only other reason for using our service oil would be if someone had accidentally caused a water ring mark or heat mark. In that case the tables can be fully sanded back to remove the mark and then our service oil will replenish and recolour the table to like new. You can use clear danish oil as often as you want on the table as it doesn’t have the pigment in it. In the main a once a year light sand and application of service oil will be all that is needed. In cases where the customer may have the goods in a conservatory or very warm area you may want to apply clear danish oil more regularly to keep the table nourished. These are extreme cases though.
