Inside Zara McDermott’s luxurious dressing room
Media personality Zara McDermott, who rose to fame after her appearance on Love Island in 2015, has made great efforts to create an iconic, luxurious space in her dressing room, embracing a distinct 1920s feel.
Zara crafted this space using a range of retro, 1920s-inspired dressing room furniture and accessories, including the show-stopping Lily Dressing Table with its luscious ripple texture. The table is completed with the simple yet timeless Lily Gallery Dressing Room Mirror, creating the perfect space to get pampered and prepared for her day.
Zara had her eye on a lot of these pieces long before she brought her dressing room plans to life. “I actually had this furniture on my original moodboard for the room around a year ago,” she explains, “so the fact that I managed to get it was absolutely amazing”.
This setup is also ideal for those who don’t have space for a full dressing room. The table and mirror, paired with a comfy dressing room chair, can easily slot into a quiet corner of your bedroom, allowing you to experience some of the tranquillity of a dressing space too.
A neutral and calming space
We love the way Zara’s kept a neutral colour palette with soft pops of pink to add to the calming vibe of her dressing room. “It’s so pink and girly without being too in your face,” Zara explains.
The pretty floral accessories and gorgeous wallpaper panelling also add to this unique space.Zara’s cosy Lulu Rug is super soft with a pile height of 37mm, meaning it feels luxurious and soft underfoot too - perfect for when you’re getting dressed on a cold winter’s morning. She chose the 120cmx170cm rug in the colour ivory.
