The Alexander & James stand showcased this in a rich dark tone with wall panelling and antique lighting. Rustic style cushions and accessories were used as a pop of colour and contrast. If you’re not feeling brave enough to go quite so bold, incorporate this colour with large accent accessories such as scatter cushions and rugs. Velvet Velvet is also a continuing trend for 2020 and was a prevalent fabric in many stands. Whether you want to make velvet the main focus of your home or maybe a few accessories with scatter cushions and throws; Velvet is so versatile and can be used to be daring or just fancy making a monochrome room for a more minimalistic style, it’s possible with velvet. Shown below is an out going style of a mustard velvet sofa and a glamorous major corner sofa all grey! Both great as show stoppers for your home. if you aren’t into the grand finish from velvet, cushions always style up your living room and can also look great in velvet! A big investment like a velvet sofa definitely comes with it’s perks. An easy clean, a constant trend in various colours to suit everyone’s style to a T. The versatility is always a great plus due to the fact the sofa would be the only thing you’d need to change in your home! Grey Grey is still a key colour to play around with in 2020; utilising it’s variations in tone and style to create different themes dependant on your interior style. Pair with luxe, monochromatic accessories to create a sense of luxury and glamour, or if Scandi is more your thing, use light wood and natural materials to accentuate the simplicity of the colour and sofa design. A main component throughout most stands, including sofas, rugs and cushions; grey is definitely the way to go this year to make just enough of a statement within your home. If you’re all about the trendy, fashionable pieces that create a statement then this “box pleat” inspired trend is definitely for you! A great style to showcase detailing and stitching in materials such as the velvet footstool. Many beds also showed this contemporary take on a classic style too, again with Classic Blue making an appearance on upholstery. The pleated patterns come in a range of colours showing how good the detailing looks on all styles! A great and easy colour to contrast with to even match the accessories such as pillows, footstools and ornaments; great for decoration! Scandi Particularly dominant throughout the dining room set-ups, the Scandinavian influences were a key theme throughout. Wood is a great material to incorporate into this trend; injecting different tones and textures to create a sleek, modern but homely feel – perfect for those dinner parties! Accentuate texture with stark white walls to create a perfectly minimalistic look or create something a little more cosy with burnt oranges and terracotta’s. Indoor house plants would be a great way to brighten the room up and give that final touch; giving your home a fresh feeling to your home.
